The Falcom
NAVI-1 is a new GPS receiver equipped with Bluetooth technology. It is
an execellent navigational and positioning tool in connection with GPS
mapping software installed on Bluetooth enabled devices (PC, laptop, PDA).
The FALCOM NAVI-1 is an equipment that can be used in a variety of applications
including:
- Navigation and positioning
- Finding streets and routes
- Travel planning
- Safety and security
- Fleet tracking and management...
The NAVI-1 has an integrated temperature compensated crystal oscillators
(TCXO). Due to the higher stability of frequency it offers a high improved
performance and makes it possible to run the SiRFXTrac software. These
SiRFXTrac software offers high position accuracy, a fast Time-To-First-Fix
(TTFF) and makes it possible to

track the
GPS signals at far lower signal levels than it is currently possible with
competitive autonomous GPS solutions. Due the high sensitivity it is possible
to use the NAVI also in situations where the GPS reception is not so good:
- severe urban canyons,
- parking garages,
- dense foliage,
- multi-level freeways,
- under bridges, overpasses
and partly indoors.
The embedded
Class 2 Bluetooth transceiver, is capable of communicating with any serial
port profile Bluetooth device, within a 10m radius. It is fully compatible
with any GPS Mapping software running on different hardware platforms.
The embedded high-sensitive internal GPS and Bluetooth antenna allows
to navigate freely without the hassle of messy wire connections.

The sensitivity value is specified
at the correlator on a NAVI-1 evaluation receiver using SiRFXTrac
firmware with the supplied antenna, 32 dBHz is equivalent to -142 dBm or -172
dBW.

USB charger set
This
set consists of a USB charger cable (70 cm cable extension with automatic
coil up mechanism) and a power adapter for the NAVI-1. Thus the GPS
receiver battery can be charged from any USB port on your computer.

Lithium Ion battery FAL 700 provides a wireless operation in continuous
mode up to 5 hours.
